Participation in the 52nd Venice Biennale (Visual Arts)

The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (ADC) is going to participate in the 52nd Venice Biennale (Visual Arts) from June to November 2007 in Italy, showcasing the works of Hong Kong visual artists in the international arts arena.

Aiming to enhance exchanges and communications between Hong Kong and other countries in the world, the ADC has been presenting the works of Hong Kong visual artists in the name of Hong Kong, China at the Venice Biennale since 2001. The total number of visitors of the past three exhibitions is up to 100,000.

Interested parties including local arts organisations or independent curators are cordially invited to submit proposals for exhibition and curation of the Hong Kong Pavilion in the 52nd Venice Biennale. Application forms and conditions are available at the ADC Administration Office at 22/F, 181 Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong, or can be downloaded from the ADC website. Proposal and completed application form must be deposited in the collection box located at the address above by 6:30 pm, 5 October 2006 (Thursday). Please mark "52nd Venice Biennale" on the envelope. Applications submitted by post will only be accepted if postmarked no later than the deadline.
